What is Rush?
Rush is a structured one to two week period when we, the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon, will host events where interested applicants can come out to meet the brothers. Rush also gives us a chance to meet you and learn more about you. There is no obligation during rush and everything is free. Come out for RUSH and experience what the best Asian-Interest fraternity on campus is all about. Learn what brotherhood, pride, leadership, unity and family means to us. The only thing you have to do is sit back, relax and feel free to ask plenty of questions! If any student wishes to contact Lambda Phi Epsilon in reference to any rush events or our fraternity in general, please do not hesitate to contact our rush chair.
Should I attend all the rush events?
If you are serious about joining Lambda Phi Epsilon, you are definitely encouraged to attend all rush events from beginning to end. The events are set up for you to learn about what our fraternity is about as well as the chapter here at the University of Toronto. Regardless of the event, brothers will be there to answer any questions that you may have about the organization. It is an opportunity for both you and the brothers to get to know each other better. Ask questions and just be yourself.
How is this going to impact my schooling?
What you put into an activity is what you are going to get from an activity. You should definitely care about what you are about to join. But at the same time, do not forget why you are at school, to study and learn. We realize that academic achievement is the first and foremost reason that you are at school. Just find the balance in LiFE to have a rewarding college life both socially and academically.
Do I have to be Asian to join?
No. There are many brothers in chapters of Lambda Phi Epsilon all over the nation who are not of Asian descent. Lambda Phi Epsilon stresses that it is an Asian-INTEREST Fraternity, which means that anyone who is interested in our goals, both Asian and non-Asian, are encouraged to join. We all share similar experiences and thoughts, and whether or not you understand or come from an Asian culture does not matter, so long as you are interested to learn from and interact with people who have. If you feel that you have a strong understanding and love for Asian awareness or want to, Lambda Phi Epsilon can definitely serve your purposes. We accept members of every ethnicity, race, religion, and creed

TIPS
- Be punctual. Being on time shows you care and reflects your dependability. Show up late to events is not a big deal, but you should definitely be early for events offering free transportation.
- Be Social. We recommend that you speak with as many brothers as you can but we also encourage you to meet your fellow rushees. After all, they may become your future brothers! Talk with the ladies too; they are as curious about you as you are about them.
- Be open-minded. You may have some reservations about fraternities based on what you’ve heard or see but fraternities differ in many ways. There are many who believe “fraternity life” is not for them, but being a Lambda is more what you make of it than it makes of you. Come see for yourself.
- Be updated. Visit the website for updates on rush and the fraternity.
- Be responsible about rush. Remember that in order to be considered for a big, you must attend interviews. If you are unable to make it to interviews, please make arrangements with us beforehand.
- Be safe. Take advantage of our free transportation especially at events where you choose to drink at.
- Finally be yourself. Lambda Phi Epsilon is a brotherhood comprised of many different personalities, aspirations, and interests, all functioning as a unit to meet the academics, social, philanthropy and brotherhood goals of the fraternity.
