Rush ΛΦΕ
Free. Non-binding. Open to every U of T student regardless of background, year of study, or whether you know a single person going in.
It costs nothing
Rush events are free. Dues only ever come up after you have accepted a bid.
Zero obligation
Coming to an event commits you to nothing. Plenty of people rush and decide it isn’t for them.
Everyone is welcome
Asian-interest and open to all. Membership has never been closed by ethnicity.
Rush
The schedule
Come to what you can. If you have a lab or a shift that clashes, email our rush chair and we’ll work around it.
The process
What happens
-
You come to rush events
A week of open events: info night, a social, something athletic, a professional night. You meet us, we meet you. Dress is casual unless we say otherwise.
-
Interviews
Toward the end of rush we sit down with people properly. It is a friendly conversation, meant to understand why you’re here.
-
Bids go out
A bid is a formal invitation to join as a new member. Receiving one places you under no obligation. You decide.
-
New member education
You go through the process with your class. You learn the fraternity’s history and values, get paired with a big brother, and build the relationships that end up mattering most.
-
You cross
Your class crosses into the chapter together, takes a class name, and is revealed to campus. From there you’re a brother for life.
Questions
The questions people ask
Still not sure? Email us. A real brother reads it, and there is no version of this where asking a question puts you on a list.
One event. That’s all we’re asking.
Show up to info night. Decide afterwards.
